2NA: 25th February 2016

Good afternoon and sorry for my delay!!

Last Thursday we saw some difference between British and American spelling and vocabulary. Below you can find a short video which summarizes the main spelling difference we mentioned and some others.

We also revised some vocabulary about Money and revised some of the expressions we'd seen last Tuesday. We did a Listening about the topic and, at the end of the class, we revised some of the uses of Unreal Past.

Homework:
Grammar Bank p. 149 ex. a
Grammar worksheet (sorry I can't upload anything on our Zona de Usuarios at the moment!)

Reading Multitasking (taken from February Mock Exam)

Hope you're having a nice weekend. See you in a couple of days :)

2NA: 23rd February 2016

Good morning!

yesterday we started Unit 5B which deals with the topic of Money. We saw some idioms related to that (book p. 50), some vocabulary (p. 166 ex. 1) and we did some speaking and listening (p. 50 ex. 5b / p. 51 ex. 5c). At the end of the class we spoke a bit about some of the differences between the pronunciation of British and American English (p. 51 ex. 6c).

Homework:
Vocabulary Bank p. 166 ex. 2, 3 and 4
p. 50 ex. 4c

I'm having problems with the Zona de Usuarios so I cannot send you the worksheet about British and American English vocabulary. I'll try to sort it out. Sorry for the inconvenience.

See you tomorrow!

C1: 22nd February 2016

Good morning!

Back to normal class after the looooong exam period. Yesterday we talked about the topic of fashion and clothes from a different perspective (Unit 11). We did a listening and a speaking about dress codes at work (page 71). At the end of the class, we revised a grammar point you normally try to avoid when you speak: the Reported Speech (p. 72).

Homework:
Worksheet (Zona de Usuarios) ex. A and C.

Tomorrow I'll upload some extra vocabulary (B2 and C1) about this topic on the Zona de Usuarios.
See you tomorrow!

FOOTNOTE (24th February 2016): I'm having problems with the Zona de Usuarios so I cannot send you any handout. I'll try to sort it out. Sorry for the inconvenience.
