2NA: 29th October

Good morning!

Last Thursday, we were practising linkers in detail. You have all the grammar about these four types of linkers on page 141. We also did the Listening exercise on page 13 (In the Street).

Next Tuesday we'll finish Unit 1 by going to the laboratory and practising a monologue about Work. And then, we'll start Unit 2.

As we are about the finish Unit 1, I'm going to send you some extra-activities -including answers- for you to do and auto-check at home. This is something I'm going to try to do after each unit. You'll find them on the Zona de Usuarios.

Good morning everybody,

this is just to let you know I'm returning to work today, Thursday 29th October. That means I shouldn't be having any problem to see you all from this evening.

I deeply apologize for my absence and for the inconvenience that it may have caused to you.

This weekend I'll send you via Zona de Usuarios, tasks for you to do and auto-check at home. Please check it out. It's very important, especially for my C1 class which is missing more classes, that you keep doing some work despite not going to class.

Good morning everybody! (and sorry for my delay...again...)

On Thursday we were talking about Work. We checked the Vocabulary Bank on p.161, learnt how to write a Letter/E-mail of Application -pp.112-113) and rehearsed and listened to real job interviews.

Hello everybody,

yesterday we went to the laboratory to practice monologues. we did one about Culture Shock and we also took advantage of the lab to do the Listening Comprehension task on page 13. We started talking about our next topic, which is going to Living Life to the Full.

Prepositions is one of the issues you usually have more difficulties with so please, do the exercises and take a short time to study!!!

Good morning!

Yesterday we had a look at the use of "have" and "have got". Please, have a look at the Grammar on page 140. We also started talking about the topic of Work and we read the texts on pages 8-9 and the Lstening about Skyscanner on page 11.

Good afternoon everybody and sorry for my delay!!!

Yesterday we had a look at the Conditional structures that you already knew, but we also saw some new structures and conjunctions to use. You have everything explained on page 162. We also did a Listening task based on the topic of Culture Shock and spoke a bit about this topic. We'll continue with that tomorrow.

Homework:
Read the text on page 12 and do the exercie Vocabulary 2 on page 13.
Do the Conditionals worksheet I handed out yesterday (sorry I can't upload it to the Zona de Usuarios as I deleted it by mistake. I'll try to do it by the end of this week).
Homework for next week:
Write a reply to the article "5 things I hate about Spain". You can send it to me by e-mail or you can give it to me in class. Deadline: next Wednesday 28th.

Sorry for my delay but Fridays are always a bit hectic for me...

On Thursday, we did a revision of the vocabulary that we'd seen the previous week. We also did the Listening and Speaking parts on pages 4 and 5, although we did them adapted on a different worksheet.

Homework:
Do the Grammar and Vocabulary sheets that I just uploaded on our Zona de Usuarios. We'll have a look at the grammar on our next class but I'd like you to reflect on it first.

Recommended series to watch

Good afternoon!

Some of you were asking me about interesting (and not SO difficult-to-follow) series to watch.

Just a few days ago a friend of mine recommended this series to me and now I do the same to you. Recorded in British English; attractive, cacthing lines; and a story that everybody knows.

Good morning!

yesterday we had a very quick look at the Vocabulary and Grammar covered in 1º Avanzado through the Entry Test that I'd sent you for homework. We were talking about your personality and you could get to know your classmates a bit better. We also had the chance to know an organisation called "Talk to me London". We did a couple of listenings about it and discussed a bit about the "art of having a conversation" with strangers.

Good morning everybody,

yesterday we could get to know each other a bit better. You were asking each other questions and we had the chance to know an organisation called "Talk to me London". We did a couple of listenings about it and discussed a bit about the art of having a conversation with strangers. At the end of the class, I gave you a list with lots of adjectives to describe your personality.

Revise the form and use of conditionals (zero, first, second and third)

Hello class!

It was nice to meet you yesterday. Thank you for making such a participatory lesson.

Rememeber next week we'll be having class on Thursday, but not on Tuesday.
